• The Ibrahim Palace, is a significant landmark in Al Hofuf city, Eastern Province, Saudi. It was the main Ottoman garrison in Al-Ahsa during that era, associated with Basra. King Abdul Aziz Al Saud gained control of the palace on April 13, 1913, when he annexed Al Ahsa.
• The Amiri School, or "Princes School," is a historic educational institution in Al Ahsa, pivotal in advancing science and education. It was the first government school in the region, producing notable alumni including princes, ministers, and businessmen. Inaugurated in 1941, it's located in the Umm Al Khabees plateau, serving as the first state-overseen government school.

• Souq Al Qaisariyah is an ancient, bustling market in Al Ahsa, mentioned by travelers since 1822, though its origins are uncertain. Spanning 7,000 square meters, it's a vibrant hub for various goods, from leather sandals to abayas, rosewater vials, vintage gramophones, and antique daggers.

• Al Ahsa is famous for its rare Hassawi Red Rice, cherished by farmers for its reputed ability to alleviate arthritis and bone pain. Generations of farmers in the Al Ahsa oasis cultivate this unique rice, standing together in water while singing prayers.
• This Hassawi rice is among the world's most expensive, fetching 25-30 Saudi Riyals (around $6 - $8) per kilo due to its exceptional nutritional value and health benefits. Throughout King Abdulaziz's reign, the founder of Saudi Arabia, he expanded and modernized the port, establishing various facilities. It served as a pivotal venue for hosting foreign diplomats and conducting negotiations with international political entities in the region.
• The coastal area surrounding the port is renowned for its stunning natural beauty, featuring shallow sandy beaches, diverse terrain, and an abundance of bays and islands.
• The "Yellow Lake," also known as Al Asfar Lake, is a remarkable body of water located on the outskirts of Al Ahsa. It's nestled amidst towering sand dunes and encircled by a lush ring of ferns, creating a breathtaking natural landscape. Reaching the lake is an adventure in itself, as there are no direct roads. Visitors must traverse the dunes using a four-wheel drive vehicle. Once you arrive, there are plenty of activities to indulge in, from picnicking and birdwatching (especially for mustached warblers, Kentish plovers, and greater spotted eagles in winter) to kayaking on the serene lake waters. Exploring the lake's surroundings through a jeep tour safari is also a delightful way to have some fun.
